Frequently asked questions
How do I send a quote?
Tap "Send Quote" on the home screen, pick a customer, add line items from your service library, and hit Preview & Send. The whole process takes under 60 seconds.
Can I edit a quote after sending?
Sent quotes are locked to preserve the record. You can duplicate any quote and send a revised version with updated line items or pricing.
How does the customer approve?
They receive a link via email or SMS. Tapping the link opens a branded quote page in their browser — no app download needed. They tap Approve or Decline, and you get notified instantly.
What happens when I hit the free quote limit?
You'll see a prompt to upgrade to Pro for unlimited quotes. Your existing quotes, customers, and service items are never affected.
Can I use Hank offline?
Not yet — an internet connection is required to save and send quotes. Offline mode is on our roadmap.
How do I change my business info or logo?
Go to Settings > Business Info. You can update your business name, owner name, phone, email, address, logo, and payment instructions at any time.
Can I convert a quote to an invoice?
Yes. When a customer approves your quote, tap "Convert to Invoice" on the quote detail screen. Mark it as paid when the job is done.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security. Each user can only access their own data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
